The Maintenance Technician performs the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and related control systems and equipment.

Education/Experience: Prefer a minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical trade, construction and repair with industrial and motor control applications.
Certifications and/or Licensures:
Communication: Strong skills needed to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to write reports and correspondence, give direction and guidance, and informal presentations.
Analytical: Advanced skills needed to determine maintenance and repairs needed; resolve problems.
Mechanical: Strong skills needed to work with hand/power tools and test instruments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tests, installs, modifies, maintains and repairs electrical systems, equipment, wiring and lighting, such as transformers, power distribution panels, motor control centers, disconnects, motors, power supplies, sensors, alarms, HVAC systems, fire alarm systems, metering devices, computer hardware and computer equipment.
- Designs layout work on panels; sets up complex control systems; interprets and modifies drawing, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. Works from complex engineering drawings to complete projects and assigned work.
- Performs programming, logic or control changes. Performs maintenance when assisting with general maintenance and repair activities of facilities and equipment.
- Operates construction, maintenance equipment, and other mechanical equipment and hand tools as required to complete assigned tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience: Prefer a minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical trade, construction and repair with industrial and motor control applications.
Certifications and/or Licensures:
- Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
- International Society of Automation Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) Level II certification preferred.
- Nation Fire Protection Associating (NFPA) 70E Training preferred.
- Valid GA Driver’s License required with a clear or acceptable MVR.
- Advance knowledge of standard practices, principles, methods, materials and tools used in the electrical, electronic and pneumatic instrument related fields.
- Reading, modifying and developing wiring diagrams, plans and schematics.
- National Electrical Code and International Building Code for electrical installations. Electrical substations, distribution panels, switchgear, automatic transfer switches, generators, and motor control centers. Hazards and safety precautions required by the electrical trade, and industrial applications such as Lockout/Tag out, Arc Flash and Confined Space Entry.
- Federal and State hazardous materials laws.
- Calibration and operation of sensors and transmitters, electrical test equipment, gauges and meters.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic background desirable.

- Must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds, frequently lift 40 pounds and occasionally move up to 70 pounds.
